Wolvega (Friesland) solar park was built on top of a former horse racing track. Built by the Dutch solar park developer Powerfield, the Wolvega project covers an area of 4 hectares with a total of 9730 solar modules and has an installed capacity of 5 MWp. The model used is Zosma 545 Wp.
Its expected annual energy yield of 4.750 MWh equates to powering 1500 average Dutch households.
Wolvega is one of several parks in the Netherlands powered with Sunova/Thornova Solar photovoltaic modules, that will in total help eliminate an annual 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
