Thornova Solar is launching a new N-type module series exclusively for utility-scale projects. Based on the larger format G12 silicon wafers, the TS-BGT66 and TS-BWT66 modules offer power outputs ranging from 695W to 720W, with conversion efficiencies from 22.4% to 23.2%.
As of January 2024, Bloomberg NEF now requires companies to submit information on a minimum of six projects, each with a capacity of 5MW or larger, that have been financed by six different commercial banks, in order to achieve Tier 1 status. Previous requirements stipulated projects of 1.5MW or larger.
Thornova N-type modules were featured in Solar Power World’s Top Solar Panels of 2023, released at the end of December. Thornova modules for both residential and utility-scale applications were included in the guide, reflecting the growth of N-type technology for both markets.
